With the COVID pandemic impacting so many industries, our home space is no exception as we spend more time indoors. The demand of living a new lifestyle has forced us to reimagine our spaces to create functional homes for zoom meetings or remote learning.

To make our living spaces more comfortable and fresh looking, here are some design tips we’ve put together to give you an idea how we can maximize our spaces and furnish them beautifully without spending so much money to redecorate – from paint colors, durable fabrics and texture, home furnishing, fresh flowers and greeneries, and so much more.

PANTONE’S ULTIMATE COLOR FOR 2021

“The Pantone Color of the Year reflects what is taking place in our global culture, expressing what people are looking for that color can hope to answer. As society continues to recognize color as a critical form of communication, and a way to symbolize thoughts and ideas, many designers and brands are embracing the language of color to engage and connect.” – Pantone Color Institute’s Laurie Pressman

EARTHLY PALETTES & TEXTURES

Earthly palettes and textures would be trending this 2021.

We’ve used some wood decors and rattan chairs while adding neutralized hues with a green console and capiz lamps and white lanterns.

DECORATIVE & FUNCTIONAL LIGHTING

DURABLE AND STYLISH FABRIC

In choosing a fabric, make sure that you choose something that is durable, doesn’t easily wear out and can be washed multiple times since we spend more time at home and making sure that it blends perfectly well with the colors of the room.

For instance, we chose this pin-striped fabric to break the solid colors of the room, thus making it the focal point of the dining room.

FRESH CUT FLOWERS & INDOOR PLANTS

We may have differences in interior decors when it comes to choosing a flower or a plant.

Make fresh cut flowers and indoor plants a design mainstay at your homes. If you want to choose the type of plant or flower that will best suit your interior design and decorations based on color, leaf pattern, leaf size and aging.
